  • + Distributed Antenna Systems DAS


    Client Hutchison Telecom NSW, Vic
    Hutchinson TelecomThe project entailed the preparation of design and approvals documentation associated with the installation of DASs within major shopping centres, underground stations and Sydney’s Eastern Distributor. Design documentation addressed all system elements including electrical, civil, structural, mechanical, and communication details for equipment rooms, cable routes (copper / fibre).


  • + High Voltage Towers


    Client Telstra Vic
    TelstraNational Infrastructure Services has undertaken design analysis for the installation of communications infrastructure on a number of 220kV transmission towers. Installation and OH&S constraints such as flexible fixing connections, light weight construction and tower “no go zones” are addressed as part of the design. Appropriate power and earthing design ensures that the power and communications system function independently.


  • + Metropolitan Mobile Radio


    Client Telstra NDC Vic
    TelstraNational Infrastructure Services was engaged by Telstra to prepare structural, civil, electrical, earthing and communications design documentation as part of a major upgrade to Victoria’s emergency services communication system. In addition to the preparation of approvals and construction documentation National Infrastructure Services undertook statutory, utility and land owner approvals on behalf of the client and prepared appropriate specifications for the nominated technology.


  • + Visionstream


    Client Visionstream
    VisionstreamNational Infrastructure Services was engaged by Visionstream to assist with the preparation of design specifications and network design parameters associated with the deployment of 3G services within Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Efficiency gains, statutory compliance, procedure preparation to minimize non-conformances during the design and construction phase form part of the client brief.

  • + Eaglemont Railway Station, Vic


    Client: Telstra
    TelstraThe works involve the consultation and approval of Mainco, Optus, local council, VicTrack and Telstra stakeholders for the replacement of an existing Optus communication pole, with a larger pole suitable for the co-location of Telstra antenna. The majority of the work was programmed to be undertaken outside of business hours so that station and car park users were not impacted.


  • + Corner of Flinders and Spencer St


    Client: APN Outdoor
    APN OutdoorThis project involved the removal of a large advertising structure on the roof of a 100 year old building. The works included the massive coordination with the city council and Victoria Roads with regards to road closures and Occupational Health and Safety procedures.


  • + Phase 1 Fringe Expansion


    Client: Hutchison Telecoms
    Hutchinson TelecomThe shelter and monopole upgrade program involves the stripping out of redundant communications equipment and installation of new electrical and cable support infrastructure. The works are co-ordinated from Sydney with National Infrastructure Services taking full control of delivery and quality outcomes specified by Hutchison.


  • + Bureau of Meteorology RAAF Base East Sale


    Client: GHD
    GHDThis project required the complete construction of the new Boundary Layer Profiler. This involved all the civil works as well as the new electrical supply and telecommunications. The works involved significant consultation with the Bureau and the RAAF on who’s base the works were carried out. Once operational the old Balloon Launcher and tower were dismantled and removed. The tower was removed using a RAAF helicopter to its new site at the local Gun Club!


  • + Project Vodafone 3G (Vic / QLD)

    Client: AAPC’s

    Installation and upgrade of new SDH and PDH microwave radio links to meet increased capacity associated with WCDMA technology deployment. Project features included hot cutover of major SDH microwave links, equipment inventory and management, equipment bench testing and component sourcing and manufacture.


  • + Project Commonwealth Games Mobile Coverage

    Client: Telstra

    TelstraNational Infrastructure Services is involved with the site assessment and design of temporary telecommunication facilities to meet peak network demands during the 2006 Commonwealth Games. The task includes balancing conflicting stakeholder demands while ensuring system performance.


  • + Project “3” Transmission Network (Vic / QLD)

    Client: Hutchison

    Hutchinson TelecomInstallation of 200+ microwave links over an 18 month period as part of Hutchison “3” network deployment in Victoria and Queensland. In addition to link installation, testing and commissioning National Infrastructure Services placed key telecommunications specialists with the clients project team to assist with seamless and cost effective network deployment.

    EricssonInstallation and commissioning of a diverse range of Ericsson, macro and microcell equipment for Telstra’s 2G and 3G network equipment, inclusive of base station integration into the network.

    Nokia Siemens NetworksNSN is the Telecom Implementation Service provider for the Optus-Vodafone Joint Network deployment across Australia. As part of these services National Infrastructure provides resources to support the Field Integration activities.
