Construction Services
Safety, environmental awareness, quality control and delivery are fundamental to the successful construction of communication facilities. Our construction team includes degree qualified construction graduates, licensed electricians, telecommunications riggers and radio linesmen, experienced in all facets of telecommunication infrastructure construction and maintenance.
National Infrastructure Services staff, hold Commercial Builder Registration, which allows works to be undertaken under both the Telecommunications Act and the Building Code of Australia. Recent work includes the construction of Internal Building Coverage (IBC) Solutions within major shopping centres, high voltage tower strengthening and mount installation, Occupational Health and Safety site improvements to meet new standards, monopole and tower construction and associated civil works, tout room construction and mount installation of major high rise buildings.
National Infrastructure Services has undertaken the construction of many unique facilities including the addition of antenna support steelwork for 255m high rise developments.

Eaglemont Railway Station, Vic
Client: Telstra
The works involve the consultation and approval of Mainco, Optus, local council, VicTrack and Telstra stakeholders for the replacement of an existing Optus communication pole, with a larger pole suitable for the co-location of Telstra antenna. The majority of the work was programmed to be undertaken outside of business hours so that station and car park users were not impacted.

Corner of Flinders and Spencer St
Client: APN Outdoor
This project involved the removal of a large advertising structure on the roof of a 100 year old building. The works included the massive coordination with the city council and Victoria Roads with regards to road closures and Occupational Health and Safety procedures.

Phase 1 Fringe Expansion
Client: Hutchison Telecoms
The shelter and monopole upgrade program involves the stripping out of redundant communications equipment and installation of new electrical and cable support infrastructure. The works are co-ordinated from Sydney with National Infrastructure Services taking full control of delivery and quality outcomes specified by Hutchison.

Bureau of Meteorology RAAF Base East Sale
Client: GHD
This project required the complete construction of the new Boundary Layer Profiler. This involved all the civil works as well as the new electrical supply and telecommunications. The works involved significant consultation with the Bureau and the RAAF on who’s base the works were carried out. Once operational the old Balloon Launcher and tower were dismantled and removed. The tower was removed using a RAAF helicopter to its new site at the local Gun Club!
